The Australian Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the development and support of a vibrant and engaged community of Australians in Cambodia and of Cambodian businesses with an interest in Australia.

We aim to help strengthen our members’ businesses and support community involvement. We promote responsible growth and all efforts to reinforce a positive image of Australia throughout Cambodia.

Kenneth Tang has over 30 years of experience in managing businesses, developing new business, and leading teams in various industries from information technology, financial services, real estate, architecture, design, construction, fashion retail, wholesale, manufacturing, FMCG, and food & beverage, which was his childhood passion.

As a curious explorer he has worked in wide ranging industries and various countries including Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom, France, USA, and his native Australia.

He is a pioneer of Smart Cities in Cambodia, winning the public tender for the design of Sihanoukville Smart City Enterprise Architecture and Pilot Smart Parking Project. This project is the first of its kind in Cambodia and was successfully delivered in June 2022.

Kenneth was born in Battambang, Cambodia and his family moved to Australia at a very early age. He attended Sydney Boys High School and graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Information Technology.

Glenn, originally from Melbourne Australia, joined J Trust Royal Bank in August 2019 as the Chief Information Officer. Glenn leads an enthusiastic and customer focused team of technologists and is responsible for managing all Information technology aspects for J Trust Royal.

Glenn has been working as a technologist in banking, payments and telecommunications for almost 30 years. He has been based in Cambodia for over 10 years and has worked for 5 different companies in Cambodia in the fields of banking (ANZ Royal Bank and J Trust Royal Bank), payments processing (WING and Ly Hour Pay Pro) and telecoms (EZECOM/Telcotech).

Prior to moving to Cambodia, Glenn worked in a variety of roles in the Asia Pacific region.

Chantha (Nic) Heng

Mr. Heng, Chantha (Nic) is the Senior Director of Operation Group at Phnom Penh Commercial Bank (PPCBank), one of the most innovative and fast-growing commercial banks in Cambodia. He has 15 years of banking experience in Cambodia covering Deposits, Lending, Operations, Credit, Risk and Compliance with local, regional and international banks.

He spent seven years with ANZ Royal,  his last position being Head of Retail Risk. He then moved to Canadia Bank as Head of Risk and Compliance for over three years. Right before joining PPCBank in mid-2018, he worked for Maybank (Cambodia) with his last position being the Head of Community Financial Services.

Mr. Heng was born in Cambodia and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He obtained his BA degree from RMIT University, Australia.

He has worked at prestigious Golf Clubs in the UK, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.  He is now the General Manager of the Angkor Golf Resort, an award-winning and global golfing destination in Siem Reap.

Catherine Culwell

Catherine is an American-born citizen who has spent most of her life abroad. She is fluent in three languages: English, Italian, and Spanish. She holds a degree in International Relations from the American University of Rome.

Catherine's background is in Marketing and Communications. She worked for large oil and gas corporations, including Enron, Duke Energy, and private firms, before moving into the hospitality industry. Catherine spent a number of years in the Cruise industry before finally settling back on land in Koh Samui, Thailand, where she owned and operated a small boutique brand of clothing.

In 2019, Catherine and her husband Daniel moved to Bangkok, Thailand, where she was heavily involved in the American Women's Club (AWC) and headed up their Community Projects Committee. In October 2021, Catherine and Daniel moved to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Catherine is a passionate and experienced professional with a strong track record of success in a variety of industries. She is also a dedicated volunteer and community leader.

As the Chief Operations Officer at Cowater International, Leanne oversees the implementation of the CAP-RED Facility, Australia’s flagship bilateral economic development program in Cambodia.

With more than 30 years of experience in operations, finance, and risk management, including 14 years experience within the international development context of Indonesia and Cambodia. Leanne is  passionate about supporting Cambodia’s economic recovery and resilience through productive and inclusive public and private investment.

Leanne has a strong track record of achieving results in challenging environments, managing complex contracts, budgets, and cash flows, and ensuring compliance with financial and procurement obligations. She is  a team player, a problem solver, and a strategic thinker who thrives on delivering value and impact to clients and partners.

Cassie Gravett

Cassie is an experienced Community Engagement Manager with a decade of experience in the international aid and not-for-profit sectors, including eleven years in Cambodia. Her passion lies in making a positive impact on the lives of children, which is why she is  thrilled to be working as the Community Fundraising Manager at Angkor Hospital for Children.

Prior to her current work, Cassie worked closely with young Khmers in both urban and rural communities, gaining valuable insights into their unique strengths and challenges in health and education. Through extensive volunteer training and child protection workshops, she developed a strong understanding of the importance of an organization's voice and social presence.

Cassie’s background in International Aid has equipped her with a unique perspective and knowledge in handling dynamic situations. She strongly believes in the significance of ethical, socially responsible, and sustainable practices, and  strives to uphold these values in all aspects of her work.

Betsy moved to Cambodia to join the educational team at the then newly opened Australian International School Phnom Penh (AISPP) via Mongolia, Latvia, India and Germany, where her international journey began over 30 years ago.

Betsy’s focus has always been community centered - sharing experiences and ideas gathered from many cultures and people along the way. AISPP became a major sponsor of AusCham Cambodia upon her arrival in Phnom Penh and have been an integral part of the AusCham community.

She is committed to helping AusCham bring positive outcomes through collaborative efforts and a gathering of purposeful ideas on the AusCham Committee.

Ashley Irving

Ashley joined the Australian Centre for Education in June 2012 as Principal. A native Australian from Melbourne, Ashley holds degrees in mathematics, business and linguistics.

After a twenty-year career in corporate banking culminating in a position as Associate Director at Rothschild Bank, Ashley decided to seek a new direction. Since then he has worked in the English Language Teaching industry for eighteen years, including time in Brazil, Argentina and Australia.

He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Since joining ACE, Ashley has seen the number of students increase from 6,000 in 2012 to over 24,000 today, reflecting the strong desire amongst Cambodians to keep improving their education.

Ashley is also part of a joint public-private committee which is working with the Cambodian Government on STEM Education.
